Philadelphia Phillies by 2Let's set the stage here, folks. The Milwaukee Brewers will be popping over to the City of Brotherly Love to put their mettle to the test against the Philadelphia Phillies over at that renowned batters' playground, the Citizens Bank Park.
Now, the Brewers' pitcher Jose Quintana comes in hot with a respectable 2.70 ERA and a fair 6.5 K/9. Not bad Quintana, not bad at all. With his right-hand men, the nimble Sal Frelick and the dexterous Rhys Hoskins providing some solid stats, don't expect an easy game for the Phillies. Of course, let’s not forget Christian Yelich and his knack for both hitting homers and thieving bases.
Flipping sides, the Phillies' pitcher, Ranger Suarez has just been having himself a regular ball of a season, hasn't he? I mean, no one scoffs at a 3.06 ERA and a more than impressive 9.5 K/9 but compared to Quintana, he is a bit up there, isn't he? So, what's next? We've got heavy hitters like Alec Bohm with his brilliant batting average, the swift Trea Turner and Kyle Schwarber, Phoenixville's own homerun machine gearing up to tip the scales in favor of the Phillies.
Looking back, it seems like the Brewers have had the upper hand in the past few games against the Phillies, and their recent performances show some promise as well, consistently logging wins. However, we mustn’t forget that the Phillies have maintained a flashier record this season which might just represent their ability to scratch out those Ws.
