Texas Longhorns by 31If the Georgia Bulldogs were to enter any sort of dog show, they certainly would not be showstoppers with their 10-17 regular season record. In stark contrast, the Texas Longhorns have been goring their opponents left and right, boasting an impressive 26-2 record for the season. Even a blindfolded bull could see the difference there.
Despite the Bulldogs' Trinity Turner and Mia Woolfolk showing some deserve bite last month with 13.0 and 11.8 points per game respectively, they pale compared to the Longhorns' Madison Booker who scored an eye-popping 17.3 points per game, making her not just a bookworm in the library of basketball, but an entire book club.
And let’s not forget the Longhorns' Taylor Jones who managed 14.0 points per game, snatching rebounds as if they were candies from a candy shop.
If we’re looking at recent outcomes — and who are we if not avid observers of the present, through the lens of the immediate past — well, the Longhorns have been, er, on a roll, while the Bulldogs have been whimpering off with their tails between their legs more often than not.
In terms of AP rankings, it's the tale of Beauty and the Beast, where the Longhorns sit pretty at #2 in the SEC, and the Bulldogs, unfortunately, can't even register their bark on the charts.
So, if betting on this game is what you're thinking, you might want to tell the Bulldogs to fetch a miracle because they are certainly going to need one. In any case, my prediction would be:
