Tennessee Lady Volunteers by 13
Well, grab your pop corn and settle in, we've got a bit of a lopsided matchup here. The Tennessee Lady Volunteers, currently the #15 ranked team nationally, are strutting into town with a pretty solid 20-6 regular season record, comparing to the Gators who have sort of been limping, landing on 14-13.
Fortunately for our Vols, they will be buoyed by Talaysia Cooper who has been lighting it up with a solid 16.7 points per game this season and Lazaria Spearman, another sharpshooter who juggles with a pretty 13.1 points per game just in last month.
Contrary, the Gators will be looking to their ace Liv McGill who boasts 17.2 points per game last month, pretty delicious stat line, and Ra Shaya Kyle who is not too shabby either with a hearty 12.6 points per game most recently.
There's a bit of history here too. Our two teams have crossed paths before with the Lady Volunteers taking both previous matchups. Pretty decent gap too, not a whisker's difference, I have to say, with Vols winning by 7 and 18 respectively. Fates can change but history is one mean beast.
Looking over the recent records, both teams seems to have had their ups and downs. Tennessee, though, appears to have more 'ups' than the Gators. Of note, they were able to stick the landing against Connecticut Huskies by a narrow win.
If I had a quarter for every time I've been wrong about a matchup, I might actually have enough change to do laundry. Nevertheless, I say let's not decide who wins an uphill battle until we've seen the incline. Given all this, here's my two cents:
