UCLA Bruins by 10Look at this matchup, we've got the UCLA Bruins going against the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Bruins are currently sitting pretty at that coveted #3 spot, so let's not pretend like they're not coming into this game with a pretty sweet vibe.
Let's shed some light on UCLA's stars, shall we? Leading the pack is Lauren Betts, now here's a total surprise - that's a lie - she's averaging a hefty 18.9 points per game for the last month. Then there's Kiki Rice, she's been serving up baskets with 13.3 points per month, not as high as Betts but sure makes a tasty second dish.
On the other side, the Hawkeyes? You can't overlook what Lucy Olsen is bringing to the table. A whopping 22.4 points per game this past month, she's been lighting up like a Christmas tree in Times square. Sydney Affolter too put up a good show with 11.6 points, but let's just say there's a reason Olsen's the main attraction.
From the regular-season records, UCLA seems to be on a steroid-injected bunny, winning 25 games and kissing the floor only once. The Hawkeyes have had their fair share of both cheers and tears with 18-8. Add to that, the recent games point to UCLA's dominant performance with 4 wins in the last 5 games compared to Iowa's mixed bag of 3 wins and 2 losses.
Well, as much as I'd love to picture the underdogs coming on top or a fairytale ending to the match, the numbers aren't giving me a U-rated movie. So, here you have it.
