LSU Tigers by 7Oh, the excitement is truly brewing for the LSU Tigers at Kentucky Wildcats matchup!
The LSU Tigers really have some star power in their lineup with remarkable performances this year. From the fresh burst of energy in Aneesah Morrow who's been commanding the court with an average of 17.9 points per game and 14.8 rebounds per game this season, to the snazzy moves of Flau'jae Johnson, she's been simply lighting up the scoreboard with a neat 19.3 points per game, not to mention the always consistent Mikaylah Williams with her 15.8 points per game. These players have been pivotal in LSU's 26-2 run this season. And no, I don't have amnesia, I merely skimmed over LSU's commanding victories over Kentucky in past seasons.
On the opposing side, Kentucky's not to be overlooked, despite a slightly less radiant run of 21 - 4 this season. Georgia Amoore has been a real baller with an average of an impressive 19.1 points per game this season, while Teonni Key and Clara Strack also consistently hit significant numbers. But, being the artful dodgers that we are, UK's recent slip-ups against Ole Miss Rebels sticks to our minds like gum on a shoe.
As I glance at the past matchups between these two, it's difficult not to feel a twinge of déjà vu. LSU handily beat Kentucky both times they met in the recent past. It's almost like watching reruns of your favorite sitcom - you know how it ends, but it's still entertaining to watch the show.
With all this, the Wildcats would do well to bring some strong catnip to the court, as they face these intimidating Tigers.
