Oklahoma Sooners by 19Oh, wow, did they just stumble into a hornets' nest. We have got the Oklahoma Sooners, ranked 16th, trotting into the court against the Arkansas Razorbacks, who seem to have forgotten what it feels like to be ranked. It's like bringing a spoon to a gunfight, isn't it?
Riding high on victories and flexing their muscles, the Sooners are boasting a robust 20-6 regular season track record. On the other hand, Razorbacks are gasping with a paltry 9-19 record, their losers' limp visible from space.
Oklahoma brings some firepower with them; their star player Raegan Beers has been on a roll lately, flexing double digits in both points and rebounds per game. Of course, we can't ignore Payton Verhulst, either, being the driving force behind the team with a 14.8 points per game and an admirable 6.8 rebounds for the last month.
Meanwhile, over at the Razorbacks, Izzy Higginbottom seems to be putting on a Herculean effort. She's scoring an impressive 18.6 points on average per game, but let's be honest, one swallow does not make a summer, does it? Their support seems somewhat soft, with Kiki Smith and Carly Keats' recent stats not raising many eyebrows.
When you weigh it all up, it's starting to look like a bit of a David versus Goliath situation except without the happy ending for David. Unless the Razorbacks have a game plan involving a divine intervention, this one's pretty cut and dried.
