The defending champs, the Ohio State Buckeyes, have the upper hand with an impressive regular season record of 22 wins and just 4 losses compared to the Boilermakers' less stellar 9-17. The last their paths crossed, the Buckeyes narrowly skirted past the Boilermakers 71-68. But wait, it was the Boilermakers who took home the W the time before with a 73-65 score. Yes, you heard it right!
We cannot start the bashing without mentioning top players. For the Boilermakers, their kingpin, Rashunda Jones, has been consistently raking in solid numbers, averaging 12 points and dishing out 6.2 assists per game last month. Hot on her heels, Kendall Puryear is scoring 14 points per contest. Lost in the hullabaloo, Sophie Swanson is silently throwing up 13.8 points per game on the scoreboard.
Now switching over to the Buckeyes. Cotie McMahon seems to be charting her own path with an average of 17.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per. Jaloni Cambridge is not far behind either, securing an average of 15.3 points and 5 rebounds for the team.
