Michigan State Spartans by 4
Well, sports fans, we've got an interesting matchup here between the Indiana Hoosiers and the Michigan Spartans. The Spartans seem to have that little extra spring in their step, given they're currently the #22 team in the AP rankings and have a superior regular season record. However, the past matchups between the two teams are a bit of a tug of war with the Hoosiers eking out a victory both times.
Taking a closer look at the Hoosiers’ talented roster Sydney Parrish certainly stands out, a player who has been consistent on both the season and last month's charts. The dynamic Karoline Striplin with last month's average point per game at 14.3 is all set to set the court on fire. Still, we can’t ignore Sydney Parrish’s last month numbers of 14.8 points per game.
On the Spartans' side of the court, we have the formidable Grace Van Slooten, whose performance has been off the charts hitting 20.4 points per game in the last month. Julia Ayrault had a steady run with 12.2 points per game last month, signaling plenty of potential.
Taking a gander at the recent results, Indiana seems to be carrying a sliver of momentum with a nice win against Ohio State Buckeyes. However, the Spartans hold strong with a good win against Wisconsin Badgers.
Given all those factors, it looks like taking on the Hoosiers isn’t going to be a piece of cake. But, it's the Spartans that seem to hold a slight edge, fielding a strong line up and having a better regular season record. I’d be wary of calling this a shoe-in though because basketball – like life - can be unpredictable.
