Well, pardon my spewing sports stats here folks, the fine folks of the Chicago Cubs strut out their star hurler, Jameson Taillon. He's seen the diamond 14 times this wobbly season, amassing an ERA of 3.53 and WHIP of 0.97. On the other end, we've got Jacob Misiorowski of the Milwaukee Brewers, a young'un after only putting on the glove once this season, but interestingly, he’s yet to have an ERA. Must be a sadist only making one appearance.
The Brewers offer an impressive line-up featuring Sal Frelick with his .321 batting average and Christian Yelich who has had a splendid season thus far, bringing in 17 RBIs and 7 homers. Not devaluing Jackson Chourio either, but I've seen better.
The Cubs deploy Kyle Tucker who’s boasting a .322 batting average, Mike Busch, and Seiya Suzuki who's been belting balls out the park to chalk up 24 RBIs and 7 home runs. Pete Crow-Armstrong, he’s been doing alright, though I’d say he’d need to pick up his socks a bit with the batting average.
When looking at these two teams' love story, it'd be fair to say these encounters have been mostly bruising for Brewers recently with the Cubs having the edge in the previous five get-togethers. But don't you forget dear listeners, love stories could end unexpectedly.
The Cubs have a more-than-respectable 45-28 regular season record baking their pot, while the Brewers lag a tad behind at 39-35. Being at Wrigley Field, our dear Cubs certainly sleep on their own sheets tonight, that could be a nice little pillow, um, I mean boost.
Recent results? Cubs have had their tails up and are riding high on some winning momentum. Brewers, well, a couple of hiccups here and there.
Based on all the gibberish I just spewed. How about we wrap this up? Drumroll please....
