My Prediction
Arizona Diamondbacks by 3Ladies and gentlemen, it's old baseball time! Today, we're looking at the Tampa Bay Rays taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks are hosting this contest under the clear skies of Phoenix at the Chase Field, well known for being friendly to batters. Keep an eye out for those high flying home runs.
On the mound for the Rays, we've got Zack Littell, who could use a little bump in his performance. The chap has a 5.48 ERA on the ledger with a 1.22 WHIP across his 4 appearances. Conversely, the Diamondbacks are firing out Brandon Pfaadt, a pitcher who's been holding his own with a respectable 3.10 ERA and 1.12 WHIP this season.
Our top player roulette landed on Jonathan Aranda and Kameron Misner for the Rays. Aranda with a stellar .355 batting average, and 13 ribbies to his name this season while Misner is trailing hot with a batting average of .349. For the Diamondbacks, Josh Naylor and Corbin Carroll are the names lighting up the marquee. Naylor is carrying himself quite well with a .333 batting average and 15 RBIs, while Carroll has managed a .323 average and a whopping 19 RBIs.
Historically, these teams have tussled a bit. Last five games have all gone the way of the Rays. However, the recent form at this point of the time is favoring the Diamondbacks with a better regular season record of 13-9 as compared to the Rays’ thus far mediocre 9-13.
