My Prediction
Zverev in 3 setsAlright, sit tight and listen because this BMW Open final between Alexander Zverev and Ben Shelton is bound to leave you chewing your nails. This isn't the first time we're seeing these powerhouses face-off. Last time they met, Zverev came out on top securing a 2-1 victory, which means there’s a little redemption singing in Shelton’s ear.
Now, old Benjamino has had a bit of a turbulent journey towards this final, don't you think? He's been giving us quite a show; losing a set here and there but ultimately snatching victory in all but one match. His most recent let down was, ironically, against a guy whose name sounds like a dish of smoked salmon and cream cheese at my favorite deli.
But, don’t you love a bit of drama? Let’s not forget Zverev, the leading man of the tennis world at the moment. Even though our dear Berrettini gave him a run for his money, the streak of victories following that loss is almost poetic. Call it a comeback, or just Alexander being Alexander.
Yet, don't get hypnotized by his higher seed number. We all know that in the game of tennis, love means nothing! And with these two, it's any man's match.
But, alas, if you got your bingo chips stacked on Shelton, remember you're backing someone against the numero uno seed. So, hold on to your hors d'oeuvres and let's see if our number one Zverev can defend his turf or if Shelton will write a Cinderella story.
You want a prediction; you'll get one. Considering the dry facts and my keen sense of suspicion, Zverev should be able to triumph with a sprinkle of struggle.
