My Prediction
Tiafoe in 3 sets.Picture this, Clay Court Championships, the quarterfinal stage. On one side of the net we've got the numero duo, Frances "Love Express" Tiafoe. Squaring off against him is our number five heavy hitter, Alex "Ace Machine" Michelsen. The air is thick, tension's palpable. Singles Ladies, I'm talking Tennis.
Tiafoe's recent record, rather polka-dotted isn't it? Two wins offset by two losses in his past five matches. Not exactly singing in the rain. But still, he's managed some straight set wins which shows he's got the fire power.
Michelsen, on the other hand, seems to be playing a moody blues record. He's had a decent run, scoring three out of five. But don't break out the champagne yet, a couple of those victories were close calls, pushing right to the third set.
Couple this with the fact our boy Tiafoe's had a firmer grip of the Clay Court Championships crown, cruising to the Quarterfinal with that second seed and I'm inclined to lean towards him slightly more. But remember folks, the beauty of clay court, a single slide, and fortunes can change.
Considering all this I'd maybe put my money on... Well, I wouldn’t actually, but if I a was a betting man, in this spirited tennis version of David vs Goliath, I'd say...
