My Prediction
Dzumhur in 3 sets. Can't wait to see if he proves me right, wouldn't that be delightful?Oh, we've got a feisty one coming up on the tennis court with Damir Dzumhur going head-to-head with Pedro Martinez. Last time these two clashed, it was Martinez that walked away victorious and presently, with his better payout odds, you could argue the bookies are painting a similar picture.
Martinez is no stranger to a challenging bout as his second seed status demonstrates. However, if we look at recent form, it's quite evident the man has been going through a rough patch. Losing four out of his last five matches isn't what you'd call confidence boosting, now, is it?
On the other side of the net, we have Dzumhur. Unseeded and ranked the underdog, this guy has been giving us a good show recently. His recent scoreboard boasts a solid series of victories with the blemish being only a single defeat in the last five outings.
So, there you have it. The favored seed versus the underdog who's in solid form. Could this be a case of David toppling Goliath on the tennis court? Or will the might of the seeded player hold firm?
Squinting through the maze of numbers and statistics, whispering a soft "Sorry, not sorry" to the pundits and the bookies…I'll hazard a prediction.
