Coco Gauff in 3 sets.Alrighty then, luck has nothing to do with this thrilling tennis showdown. We're talking about Coco Gauff and Emma Raducanu at the Internazionali d’Italia, and it's time to put my two cents on it. Emma, though unseeded, executed some competent performances recently, outplaying the likes of Kudermetova, Teichmann and Joint. And our dear Coco, with her steady gameplay, continues to topple shots one after the other. Gauff recently managed clean sheet victories against Linette, Świątek, and Andreeva turning a blind eye to an unfortunate loss against Sabalenka.
Given the historical dance-offs, Coco leads with a comfortable 2-love against young Emma. And it would appear that past is not just a ghost here. Paired with her 4th seed status in the tournament, Coco seems to be doing more than just humming along.
From where I'm sitting, which mind you, is nowhere near the court, Coco has an upper hand in this round of 16 clash. But don't count out Emma just yet, she does have a knack for making her opponents sweat. The pickle here isn't who'll be handed the roses, it's whether she can bag this in straight sets or Emma will manage to sneak in a set win. Let's just say it's going to be a spectacle either way.
