Sabalenka in straight sets
Here we go again, folks, with another electric dance on the clay between Aryna Sabalenka, the top seed, and the unseeded dynamo, Anastasia Potapova. Their fists are about as friendly as a skunk at a garden party — with Sabalenka leading their past encounters 2-love. Potapova's recent form has been like a rollercoaster — up and down with a little screaming in the middle. To her credit, she did grind out a gritty fight against Yastremska. But facing losses to Kostyuk and an inconsistent show against lesser renowned players doesn't paint a rosy picture.
On the flip side, Sabalenka has been schooling her opponents like they were caught smoking in the bike shed. With recent signature performances against Gauff, Svitolina, and Kostyuk, it feels like her racket has its own personal vendetta against those poor tennis balls.
I'm going to go out on a limb, I know, shocking, and say Sabalenka should have about as much trouble with Potapova as a bulldog in a meat market.
Albert’s Prediction: Sabalenka in straight sets
