My Prediction
Kostyuk in 3 sets. It won't be a walk in the park, but if she brings her A game, I believe she'll send Kasatkina home wondering what just happened.Ah, Marta Kostyuk and Daria Kasatkina. As a fan, we've seen some thrilling exchanges from these two talented tennis professionals in the past. Kostyuk, the unseeded challenger, versus Kasatkina, the 14th seed. It sounds like a David and Goliath battle. But in tennis, we know that seeds can sometimes not mean a whole lot... except maybe to birds.
In their history, Kasatkina has two wins over Kostyuk. But that's in the past. What about recently?
For Kasatkina, it's been a bit of a bumpy ride. Recent-shows the inconsistency of a spring weather forecast - winning against Parks and Davis with love, but falling to Alexandrova, Kenin, and Baptiste. She's as shaky as a wet dog coming out of a river.
