Toronto Maple Leafs by 2And here we are, a beautiful day for hockey! On one side, we have the talented Toronto Maple Leafs visiting the feisty Anaheim Ducks.
Locking down the fort for Toronto are Anthony Stolarz, who's having an impressive season saving the puck 94.6% of the time, and Joseph Woll, not too shabby himself with a 90.6% season save percentage. Checkmate, people! Over in the Duck Pond, Lukas Dostal has been keeping busy with a 90.6% save rate, and John Gibson? Well, he's more of an alchemist turning pucks into fresh air with a 96.8% save rate this season.
Let's talk about the hitmakers - starting with Toronto. William Nylander, the man's got more goals than some men have hair, sitting at a cool 42 for the season, and John Tavares, he's practically been a human puck magnet and hit 33 goals this season. And then there's Mitch Marner, 67 assists so far. Nicely done, Mitch.
Over at Anaheim, you have your usual suspects. Mason McTavish with 26 assists this season likes to make others look good, and Cutter Gauthier stood out last month, slapping in 4 goals and being quite generous with 9 assists. Leo Carlsson is just one goal shy away from reaching the 20 goals mark this season.
Toronto's had the rub recently, skating to victory 43 times. The Ducks, on the other hand, have been a little less successful, capturing victory 32 times.
Looking back at previous match-ups: Toronto has mostly had Anaheim for dinner, most of whom ended up duck soup. Most recently, the Leafs edged out the Ducks 3 to 2 last December.
So summarizing all these jumbled numbers and stats, my prediction is as follows...
