Washington Capitals by 2Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit, this sure is going to be a doozy of a game! We're talking Washington Capitals heading into the bear den to take on the Boston Bruins.
The Capitals have some pretty solid defense lined up with their goalkeepers. Logan Thompson has been a brick wall all season with an impressive save percentage peaking at 91.3%. Charlie Lindgren isn't far behind, boasting a 92.9% save efficiency for this season. Put these two in front of net, the Bruins are going to have a helluva time trying to sneak that puck in.
The Bruins in turn are banking on Jeremy Swayman and Joonas Korpisalo in goal. Swayman has seen better days with 87.2% save percentage last month, but maybe he's got something up his glove for this matchup.
When it comes to players, Washington might as well call themselves Mount Olympus. Alexander Ovechkin and Tom Wilson have been solid gold the past month, earning their spots as top players with their impressive goals and assist counts, while Aliaksei Protas is repeatedly finding the back of the net and doing a splendid job at setting up his teammates.
Boston, on the other hand, they need to pull up their socks. David Pastrnak and Morgan Geekie have been doing their best, but their plus/minus stats do paint a less than sunny picture. They're really going to need to dig deep if they want to stand a chance against Washington.

Looking at recent results, the Capitals have winning momentum on their side, while Bruins have been more reminiscent of Bambi learning to skate.
