Not to be blunt, but the Memphis Grizzlies have been absolutely tearing it up on the hardwood lately. Oh, who am I kidding? I love being blunt. They've been led by their point guard whiz kid, Ja Morant, who's been putting up a hearty 30.9 points per game over the last month. Let's not forget Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. both dropping 20-point games like they're going out of style.
On the other side, we have the Charlotte Hornets. I could be mistaken, but their regular season record of 19 wins to 59 losses... well, that's gotta sting. They aren't exactly buzzing with success at the moment. Still, there's LaMelo Ball, who despite some inconsistencies, is carrying a good chunk of the team's offense, pacing at 20.5 points in the past month. Miles Bridges and Mark Williams have been admirable in their efforts, I suppose.
Looking at their past matchups, the Grizzlies seem to usually have the Hornets' number. Sure, the Hornets snagged a win back in 2024, but I think we all remember that 132-120 Grizzly victory in 2025.
The Grizz are sitting comfortably at 8th in the Western conference, looking pretty secure, while the Hornets... well, they're peering up from the bottom of the Eastern conference abyss.
All things considered and with a clear, unclouded, arguably sober judgment, here is the moment you've been waiting for:
Albert’s Prediction: Memphis Grizzlies by 14.
