Los Angeles Clippers by 9
Oh what a night for basketball it's going to be with the Dallas Mavericks visiting the Los Angeles Clippers. Let's see what we’ve got on the roster for both teams, shall we?
Dallas Mavericks are looking pretty decent with players like Naji Marshall, who recently has been dropping an impressive near 20 points per game and no small number of rebounds and assists either. Anthony Davis is another player to watch with his last month stats coming in hot at 18.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Klay Thompson, who apart from having a name resembling a hard-boiled detective, is also not one to be underestimated with 16.4 points per game last month.
Los Angeles Clippers, rolling out their heavy hitters, folks. James Harden has been doing some serious work on the court with an average of 25.8 points per game last month. Then we’ve got Ivica Zubac, who seems to have taken rebounding as a personal challenge with a staggering 12.5 per game on average. And of course, we can't forget about Kawhi Leonard, who’s coming in with a cool 24.8 average points per game.
Just a peek at the history between these teams suggests that the Clippers have the Mavericks’ number with some significant wins, like that 99-65 rout last April, but the Mavericks had some moments of glory too.
So, the Clippers have been doing a tad better this season when compared to the Mavericks, but hey, everyone loves a good underdog story.
The Mavericks have been pretty hit or miss recently, with a loss against the Clippers but a close win over Atlanta. On the other hand, the Clippers, despite a couple stumbles, have been pretty hot, with convincing wins over New Orleans and a complete manhandling of Brooklyn.
Considering the individual on-fire players, the historical matchups and the current momentum each of these teams have, I would not be surprised if we see the Lakers taking home another victory tonight, folks.
