My Prediction
Denver Nuggets by 3Alright ladies and gentlemen, I can feel the anticipation building as we head into this game between the Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors, two real juggernauts of the Western Conference.
Now let's talk some brass tacks. When it comes to the Nuggets, their big guy, Nikola Jokić, is the literal and figurative centerpiece, putting up a whopping 34 points per game in the last month. If a dictionary ever needs a picture for the term "unstoppable force", Jokić's picture would fit nicely. Naturally, we can't overlook Jamal Murray either, with his consistent 20+ points per game that add a nice coat of gloss to the Nuggets' offense.
On the Warriors' side of the court, we have the one and only Stephen Curry, who has been reliably tossing up an average of 25 points per match. If Curry gets in one of his moods, the Nuggets could find themselves turned into popcorn. And we've also got a certain Mr. Jimmy Butler whose performance is not quite Spartan, but all the 300s would be proud of his 18 points per game.
Looking at historical games, the Nuggets seem to have a wee bit of an advantage. They have won 4 out of the last 5 encounters. Now, I'm no mathematician, but if my abacus is working well, that's a 80% win rate. Though past performance isn't a guarantee of future results, as any fine print will warn you.
Checking through the regular season records, we see the Nuggets have a narrow edge here too, with 47 wins to the Warriors' 44. That said, the recent results present a mixed bag for both teams. But hey, every team has its bad days. Even the Harlem Globetrotters must have lost a game or two somewhere in between their acrobatics.
Boy oh boy, we are in for a treat tonight! I can feel the excitement all the way from here. But now comes the million-dollar question: my prediction.
