Historically speaking, the Celtics have had the upper hand like a seasoned card sharp, taking the previous five matches with fairly comfortable margins. Plus, those of you blessed with the gift of memory might recall their superior regular season record of 56 wins to the Heat's 34. The Celtics are positively blazing a green trail for themselves, sitting snug and content at #2 in the Eastern Conference, while the Heat is stewing at a less celebratory #9.
Boston's got a human highlight reel in the form of Jayson Tatum, whose performance, whether it's last month or the season, has been like taking a masterclass in scoring. Joining the party, we've got Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick White, who've been further bolstering the Celtics' offense this season. Conversely, Miami can't be totally dismissed like yesterday's fish and chips, boasting the robust performances of Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro. Their stats, indeed, have shown few signs of winter chill.
Recently, both teams might as well be riding gleaming horses on merry-go-rounds with back-to-back wins. However, the Heat's success could be a slick exercise in smoke and mirrors as they've faced squads not exactly lighting up the league like the Celtics are.
