Arizona Diamondbacks by 2Okay, time to play like a psychic. So, step right up Miami Marlins taking on Arizona Diamondbacks at the batter friendly Chase Field in Phoenix.
Now, smell that marlin grilling on the mound as Miami's own Sandy Alcantara enters the scene. Alcántara has had a seriously rough season, folks, with an unsightly ERA of 6.88 and a WHIP of 1.50. Not much to write home about, unless you're a fan of suspense.
On the flip side, we have Brandon Pfaadt of the Diamondback's, with an ERA of 5.49, and a 1.40 whip that is... listen, I've seen better, I've seen worse. It's like an okay sandwich.
Our aquarium-themed team has some talent, especially in Heriberto Hernandez and Xavier Edwards. In fact, the batters seem like they're playing a completely different sport with these numbers. Otto Lopez lights the scoreboard with 20 RBIs, making him the one to watch.
As for the Diamondbacks, they aren't exactly lacking in talent. Big guns like Ketel Marte and Eugenio Suarez with their .337 and .318 batting averages respectively. Suarez is apparently allergic to base running, with 10 homers.
Looking over previous face-offs, it's been a mixed platter of results. But if we’re talking straight wins and losses, Arizona barely reaches the mark of equilibrium in their regular season with a 41-40 while Miami, well, they’re definitely not having a party at 35-45.
Recent Results? Arizona seems a bit bipolar with scores shifting like a desert wind, while Miami, rode high in recent games, with a small stumble against Arizona.
