Alright then. We are brewing quite a matchup in the Bronx with your Baltimore Orioles flying into Yankee Stadium to tango with the New York Yankees. Leaning towards the mound, the Orioles are placing their hopes on Dean Kremer. Now Kremer has had a bumpy ride this season with a 4.98 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP over the course of 15 appearances. The Yankees, on the other side, are prepping Will Warren who's armed with a 4.76 ERA and 1.37 WHIP. Slightly better numbers if you ask me.
Look at those Orioles' batters, folks. We've got Gunnar Henderson who's sitting pretty with a 0.323 batting average and Dylan Carlson also bringing some heat with his .311. But keep your eyes on Colton Cowser’s home run power. Flipping to Yankee's camp, their star players include Jazz Chisholm Jr., who knows how to keep the bases dancing with a 0.339 batting average and Aaron Judge, a threat in the box with 11 homers to his name. It’s quite the lineup on both sides.
Now, past encounters between these two clubs seem to favor no obvious victor with the most recent games being a mixed bag. The Yankees did however pull off a 9-0 victory in their last meeting, a not-so-delicate reminder of what the Yanks are capable of when the wind's blowing their way.
Regular season records? Well, the Yanks sure have a firmer grip with a 44-32, compared to the Orioles singing a 33-43 tune. The Orioles big birdies will need to go full flap to keep up. Recent results for both teams shape a similar tale with the Yankees maintaining their edge.
Taking into account all factors, and the cozy benefits of playing at home, I foresee a stirring victory. And so...
