Houston Astros by 2Ah, the age-old clash at Minute Maid Park: the Philadelphia Phillies versus the Houston Astros. Spit the gum out, folks, this one's at a park that is pretty fair to both pitchers and batters.
On the mound for the Phillies, we've got Ranger Suarez whose numbers this season aren't too shabby if I do say so myself. With an ERA of 2.23, WHIP of 1.06, and 8.3 strikeouts per nine innings, Suarez isn't the kind of pitcher you want to face on an empty stomach. Houston’s starter, Framber Valdez, isn't a walk in the park either.
Switching to the batting line-up, The Phillies have some formidable players this season. Keep your peepers peeled for the likes of Alec Bohm, Brandon Marsh, and (of course) Kyle Schwarber. Worth noting that Bohm's brought home 17 runs and Schwarber's knocked 7 over the fence. We've got some sluggers on deck!
For the Astros, we have Jeremy Pena crushing it with a .384 batting average, and Jake Meyers, who might just dash out from under your nose with his new brand of sneakers. Seriously, the man has 5 stolen bases! Let's not forget Jose Altuve and Christian Walker. We’ve seen their magic before – especially you, Phillies fans.
