My Prediction
Seattle Mariners by 3Oh, it's time to talk baseball my dear friends. Let's set the scene. The Los Angeles Angels will venture north, challenging the Seattle Mariners at the T-Mobile Park in Seattle. As we all know, the pitcher's talents really shine in this park, so eardrums at home, be ready for the strikeout symphony!
On the mound for the Angels, we have Tyler Anderson who's riding with an ERA of 2.65 this season, not to mention a commendable K/9 of 7.3 - pretty impressive stuff there. On the other side, we've got young Emerson Hancock, who's been having a bit of a rough go of it this season for the Mariners with an ERA sitting at 8.04. A word of advice Hancock, you're not a piñata, stop serving up those homers my lad.
The Angels trot out there with a lineup led by the likes of Zachary Neto and Logan O'Hoppe. Mike Trout's also in the mix, but his early-season form is less 'rainbow trout' and more 'frozen fish stick' if you catch my drift. The Mariners, on the other hand, have a spitfire in Jorge Polanco and the mighty swing of Cal Raleigh to (hopefully) offset the Hancock hangover.
Looking at past match-ups doesn't clear our misty crystal ball much. These teams have been exchanging victory blows like a good old-fashioned slugfest, but the Seattle Mariners have ended up with the W a tad bit more often, which isn't as surprising as finding pickles in a dill jar given the Mariners slightly edge out the Angels on the regular season records.
Considering recent results, the Angels are clearly on a downswing, losing their last four games, which is a streak as unfortunate as bell-bottom jeans - I mean, let's move on. The Mariners, on the other hand, have a more of an upbeat rhythm with recent wins.
Based on all of these delectable tidbits, I'd suggest you lean towards the Mariners, despite the Hancock hiccup. And right here, right now, Albert's gonna make your day with a prediction:
