Tiafoe comes into this as the 7th seed, showing that the world recognizes the glimmer in his eye. Unseeded Fokina, on the other hand, is that unorthodox wildcard who we don't quite know what to make of, but he keeps surprising us.
Tiafoe's been consistently shredding the court, as his recent showdowns prove. Even though he had a hiccup against Nishioka and the elusive Marozsan, he holds an advantage in our matchup. Plus, anyone recall a breezy Tuesday in August 2024? Ah yes, that's when Tiafoe took Fokina's drive and transformed it into a double love. A little deja vu perhaps?
