Auger-Aliassime in 3 sets.Isn't it an amusing spectacle to watch a 17th seed, Mr. Felix Auger-Aliassime, dancing on the tennis court, trying to show that recent blip against Tsitsipas was nothing more than a bad dream? He's had a string of wins lately, albeit mostly in three-set knockabouts. But hey, a win is a win, right?
Now let's talk about our unseeded contender, J. Brooksby. Fine wine, this chap isn't, losing several of his recent matches. Despite that miraculous upset against Bonzi, he's been about as consistent as a weather forecast.
However, paper and performance are two entirely different ball games, aren't they? And it's worth mentioning that Felix doesn't exactly have a penchant for sealing the deal in two sets.
Keeping things in perspective, my money's on Auger-Aliassime. The higher tournament seed, the stronger recent performances, it all smells of a possible victory. However, Brooksby might want to make him break a sweat and take this beyond a mere two-set affair.
