Anisimova in 3 sets.Now let's slice and dice today’s showdown at the Queen's Club Championships. On this side of the court, we have the ardent Amanda Anisimova, pleasing the odds makers and seated comfortably at number eight. And on the contrasting end, we have the exemplary Tatjana Maria, who decides to give seeding a miss, like an angry badger avoids a picnic.
Anisimova has had her good share of swings and somersaults in the tournament. Had a bit of an edge of the seat thriller against Zheng Q., but managed to scoop it up in three; although we cannot ignore a bit of a hiccup with Sabalenka A., losing it straight without a taste of love.
Maria, on the other hand, has been dispatching her opponents like the postman delivers letters. Been having her love service rather well, clean sheets against Keys M. and Rybakina E., and not giving away much to others either. I wonder if we could have learnt much about the Queen's Club’s grass from Maria’s radiating trail.
