Rybakina in straight sets
Take a seat, grab a snack, and lend me an ear, ladies and gentlemen. We've got a doozy of a match on our hands with Tatjana Maria going head to head against Elena Rybakina in the quarterfinals of the Queen's Club Championships. I've got news, and for some of you punters out there, it ain't all strawberries and cream.
It seems like Rybakina has found her groove in the recent matches; she's been routinely slurping up victories like a cream tea at Wimbledon. With her string of solid performances, she's put herself in a prime position. Despite a slight stumble against Świątek I., she quickly bounced back with a love set victory over Watson.
Tatjana Maria, on the other hand, walks onto this Wimbledon-green carpet unseeded but with a recent record of victories that warrants a mention. She’s shown she can break a racket or two. Save for that minor speed bump she ran into with Krejčíková, Maria seems to be in a resilient mood.
However, bear in mind for those of you with poor memory, Rybakina already put Maria in her rearview mirror twice, much like the Beatles did with the Rolling stones back in the day—alright maybe not as dramatic, but the outcome was the same.
So, with my roll of the dice, I'd put my bank on Rybakina. Her recent form, past victories against Maria, and the added advantage of being the 4-seed, make her a tough nut to crack.
Albert’s Prediction: Rybakina in straight sets
