Yokohama DeNA BayStars by 2Ah, the sweet smell of fresh cut turf and hot dogs can only mean one thing -- we're about to break down the imminent showdown between Yokohama DeNA BayStars and Orix Buffaloes. Those lucky enough to have a ticket are definitely in for a treat.
Looking at our contenders, we've got the BayStars strolling into this game like a peacock at a pigeon party. They've been consistently racking up wins both in their regular season games and their recent clashes, seeming like they have an all-you-can-eat buffet at victory's restaurant. They've been making the Buffaloes look more like domesticated cows in their past matchups, sans a minor hiccup here and there.
Meanwhile, the Buffaloes aren't exactly mincing any meat lately. With a Win-Loss record that doesn't exactly inspire confidence, and recent team performances that could make the happiest baseball fan sob like a toddler who’s just dropped an ice cream, the Buffaloes will need a miracle to pull this off. It wouldn't be the first time in sports history, but frankly, I wouldn't bet my lunch money on it.
Although with a game as unpredictable as baseball, it would be remiss not to mention that the Buffaloes could suddenly decide to stop grazing and actually put up a fight - talk about dramatic irony. But given the evidence at hand, I'd say the safer bet is on the BayStars to pull off another victory.
