Orix Buffaloes by 2As we're nearing the clash between the Orix Buffaloes and Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, let's break this whole shebang down. Ah, Buffaloes, reliable as ever, sporting a 19-15 record. Decent, not too shabby. Their recent triumph over the Fighters should have their spirits high like a kite. Unfortunately, their overall recent performance has been as inconsistent as my ability to resist a good burger.
And then there are the Fighters. Also sporting a 21-15 record, keeping it neck and neck, ain't that a treat! And boy, do they love to fight! Recently, they've shown some solid performance — generally better than my poor-decision-making burger binge — except for that recent misstep against the Buffaloes.
When they've previously clashed, it's been a whole roller-coaster ride. Quite like my uncle Bob with a remote. One day it's all the Buffaloes, next thing you know, Fighters are dominating, and sometimes, just like uncle Bob, they simply can't make up their mind.
So, considering all the fun facts I've thrown your way, the finances, the records, and recent performances, here's my oh-so-professional insight.
