Yomiuri Giants by 2Let me tell you something about baseball...it's unpredictable, yet somewhat predictable - a bit like my mother-in-law at the Thanksgiving dinner table. Now, strap yourselves in because I'm about to take you through this rollercoaster of a match-up.
Now, the Yomiuri Giants, they've got this overall edge - sorta like a big brother always able to come out on top. It's subtle when you look at the big picture, but it's there, looming like my gym membership renewal notice.
Both teams have danced around a .500 winning percentage in the regular season, with the Giants clocking in at 19-17, and the Carp not far behind at 18-16. Not exactly your dominant record-holders but hey, some folks are late bloomers.
Looking at past encounters, it's been a tight tug-of-war. I mean, there's been more back and forth than in a heated debate about pineapple on pizza. But, if my math serves me right (which doesn't happen as often as I'd like), the Giants have won 3 games out of 5 against the Carp recently.
