Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters by 2Ah, a good old fashioned clash of the titans. Nothing like a bit of Nippon Professional Baseball to spice up your day. We have the Orix Buffaloes charging into the arena against the heavyweight Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.
See, here's the fun thing. On paper, these two are mirror images this season, both sitting pretty with a 4-1 record. Which, statistically speaking, basically makes them twins. Really athletic, muscular twins who, let's be real, probably wouldn't like to hear they look anything alike.
Digging back into previous encounters between the two, the past is surprisingly balanced as well. We've seen some grueling matches and back-and-forth victories. But the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters did edge out the Buffaloes three times out of five. The fighters are virtually home bodybuilders on their own pitch.
The recent results also see a slightly stronger streak coming from the Buffaloes, who have pulled off impressive wins. However, it's worth mentioning that the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters have been holding their own, forming something of an immovable object in front of their opponent's fully charged attack.
When push comes to shove, I'm going to have to give this one to the Fighters. The Buffaloes will put up a spirited fight, no doubt, but I have a hunch that Hokkaido will come out strong at home.
