Calgary Flames by 2Oh boy, let's talk ice hockey, Calgary Flames at Anaheim Ducks. What an exciting matchup Scrooge McDuck couldn't have hoarded all this action in his money vault.
Between the pipes for the Flames, we got Dustin Wolf and Dan Vladar. Wolf is looking sharp with a 91.1% save rate this season, while Vladar's not too shabby with a 92.6%. Anaheim's putting up Lukas Dostal and John Gibson. Dostal's only sitting at a 90.4% save rate for the season, but Gibson's really stopping those shots with an astounding 96.5%.
Moving on to the big boys, Calgary's got some stout skaters, namely Nazem Kadri, Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar. Kadri and Huberdeau have both shoveled in 30 goals this season. But look at Anaheim and Mason McTavish with his 21 goals and Leo Carlsson with 20 goals.
Now, let's have a look at the history books. Past matches hint that the Flames might just be the feather ruffler for the Ducks with 3 wins in recent years. But then again, Anaheim did get that one victory snuck in.
In terms of regular season records, it's a bit of a horse race with Calgary running ahead just by a tad with 37 wins over Anaheim's 34. But let's not ignore the recent results. The Flames seem to be faring better, winning 3 of their recent games while the Ducks are just batting .500, managing only two wins.
But hey, let's remember, it’s not ballet, it’s hockey.
