Let's chat about our goalkeepers first. For Florida Panthers, we have Sergei Bobrovsky and Vitek Vanecek rocking the net. Bobrovsky, our boy with the cat-like reflexes, seemed to be in a good groove last month with an 89.8% save percentage. Vanecek, on the other side, palmed a respectable 121 saves, but only totaled an 88.3% save percentage.
In the opposing corner, there's Andrei Vasilevskiy and Jonas Johansson from Tampa Bay. Vasilevskiy has been nothing short of a brick wall, with a staggering 251 saves and a 92.6% save percentage last month. Johansson’s stats? Not quite as flashy, but 92 saves and a 91.1% save percentage implies he's not just twiddling his thumbs.
Diving into the player pool for the Panthers, names like Sam Reinhart and Carter Verhaeghe stand out. Reinhart has been exceptional, driving in 7 goals and 4 assists last month, while Verhaeghe played decent, scoring 3 goals and 4 assists. Now, history buffs out there will remember the outcome of past matchups between these folks. It's been largely a game of ping-pong with wins bouncing back and forth.
As for regular season records, the Florida Panthers stand at 47-4-30 and Tampa Bay Lightning not too far behind at 46-8-26. Regular season results have Panthers coming off a defeat at the hands of New York recently, but they have picked up wins otherwise. The Lightning, on the other hand, recently toasted the Buffalo but had a couple of hiccups against Detroit and Toronto.
