All right, here we have the Anaheim Ducks flying high against the Minnesota Wild. Aren't we wildin', huh? The Ducks have got Lukas Dostal and John Gibson, two fantastic goalkeepers, who've been pulling off some decent saves this season, looking good with a save percentage above 90. Meanwhile, the Wild isn't exactly left in the Yukon either. They've got Filip Gustavsson with a decent save percentage, even if it's a bit Wilder than Dostal's, and Marc-Andre Fleury whose season save percentage is a bit frost bitten.
For the Ducks, we've got a crew of top players: Mason McTavish, Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier, and Trevor Zegras just to name a few. McTavish has been swooping in with 22 goals this season while Carlsson's bolstering 20 goals and 24 assists. A particular nod goes to Gauthier who pulled off an impressive 8 goals last month.
Over in the Wild's territory, we can see Matt Boldy and Mats Zuccarello among the forest of top talent. Boldy's racking up the most goals and assists this season for the Wild, standing tall as a silver spruce while Zuccarello, the Norwegian knight has been pitching in with a good performance of 19 goals and 34 assists this season.
Past games seem to favor the Wild, it's a tough habitat out there, certainly one that the Ducks have failed to conquer more than once. The Wild's season record is also leading the Ducks in a snow blizzard, 44-7-30 compared with the Ducks’ 35-8-37. Let's just say, it's colder for the Ducks.
Recent results show the Ducks waddling into a bit of a rough patch, having lost three out of their last five games. The Wild also had their share of the wild wind, winning three out of their last five games. However, looking at the overall scenario, the Wild seems aptly acclimated to endure the cold and also to take the cake or in this case, the puck.
Albert's Prediction: Minnesota Wild by 3.
