My Prediction
Seattle Kraken by 2Alright then, let's cut to the chase. In the blue corner, we've got the Seattle Kraken with their goalkeepers Joey Daccord, stellar in the net this season with a save rate that would make an octopus envious and his backup Philipp Grubauer, not too shabby himself.
In the teal corner, we've got the San Jose Sharks with their goalie duo Alexandar Georgiev and Georgi Romanov, both doing their best with respectable season stats, though Georgiev’s been swimming upstream this past month.
Taking a closer look at the Kraken, Jared McCann, Andre Burakovsky, and Adam Larsson have been consistently adding to the scoreboard this term. McCann has had a hot streak, tallying 18 goals and 37 assists this season, while Larsson is rainy-city's own storm, amassing a whopping 20 on the plus-minus.
On the flip side, for the San Jose Sharks, we've got William Eklund and our man Macklin Celebrini, who despite being stuck in Shark-infested waters, have presented strong showings. The boys certainly are giving it their all, with Eklund's 17 goals and a treasure chest of 38 assists this season, along with Celebrini's aggressive offensive play netting 21 goals and 33 assists to his name.
If we do our homework and look into their past rendezvous, oh what a mixed bag we have. The Kraken and the Sharks have been passing victories around like a hard to open jar of pickles. Jaw-dropping, really.
When it comes to regular season records, it looks like the Kraken have been splashing around quite nicely with 32 wins, while the Sharks are trying to find their current, sitting on 20 wins.
In a surprising twist of events, the Kraken seem to be getting their tentacles tangled recently losing two of their last five matches, while San Jose has been circling, losing four of their last five, their sole victory against none other than the mighty Maple Leafs.
Hell of a dogfight we got here, or should I say, "shark fight"? But when the water clears, we reckon the Seattle Kraken will pop out like a smoke-breathing dragon and clinch this one, likely by a two-goal margin. Might want to place your bets accordingly.
