New Orleans Pelicans by 3
Tonight, we got the Hornets buzzing into Pelican territory and it's promising to be a bit of a head scratcher, considering the dodgy regular season records for both teams.
The Hornets, despite having players like Miles Bridges throwing an average 22.4 points per game and LaMelo Ball with 21.5 points per game last month, are stumbling with an 18-55 season record. On the other hand, the Pelicans with a slightly better 20-54 record benefit from Zion Williamson's impressive display last month, averaging 25.4 points per game. CJ McCollum also shows promise, averaging 18.2 points per game.
This game will not be the first rodeo between these two for sure. The Pelicans got pecked by the Hornets 123-92 last year, recovered to retaliate 132-112 early this year and we have seen them trade blows ever since. Their recent results also paint a similar picture, both teams having their fair share of wins and losses.
With both teams placed at 14th in their respective conferences, it's like picking grapes from a vine. You never know which one's sour.
Based on the stats, leaning slightly towards the Pelicans they have a slim edge in this dance. Hornets need to bring more than just a sting.
