Begu in 3 sets.Alrighty folks, this Iași Open final promises to be an enthralling matchup between two impressive players. But before we pull up the collective socks, let's take a closer look at this face-off - Jil Teichmann and Irina-Camelia Begu.
Begu has been flying through the tourney, making pancake-flat serves and thundering returns. A wave of 2 set wins, with the respect-worthy exception of Kasatkina, stands testament to her unstoppable form. Begu's struggles seem more like a tale from distant past. But to be fair, she has been stretching it a bit too far against Siskova and Kasintseva, going all the way to the third set. But my hunch tells me Begu, besides being the favorite dessert on betting tables, may just have the upper hand. Not because of anything of course, it's as likely as me giving up my coffee addiction, purely hypothetical.
