Shnaider in straight sets.
I have to say, the sight alone of Diana Shnaider's and Magdalena Frech's matchup at the Queen's Club Championships is as refreshing as a midsummer night's breezy touch across a sweaty forehead. Hardcore tennis fans need not to track any records to know that these two have history. We're talking two bouts of steel swinging in favor of Shnaider, to one lonely victory for Frech.
Look, I'm not one to gamble my Papa's vintage watch collection, but it's as clear as a glass of fine wine. Shnaider, the 5 seed, has a lean advantage over unseeded Frech. Despite dropping her recent match against Yastremska, Shnaider's netted solid wins against Soboleva, Mertens, and Cristian. Conversely, Frech has had a bit of a stumble in her recent matches. Remember that Shakespeare line, "The love of money is the root of all wrong predictions"? Alright, maybe I made that up, but it vehemently applies here.
If you're the type who throws money on the game only for bragging rights, it could be tempting to back our Poland native Frech. However, the wind blows favorably towards our Russian lass, Shnaider. Tough to ignore the 2 sets she pocketed the last time they locked baselines.
Albert’s Prediction: Shnaider in straight sets.
