In the far corner, we have Maddison Inglis stepping onto the turf, unseeded might I add. Sprinting back to our memories here, Inglis has shown us a fair performance - whacking balls left, right and center. There were a few bumpy roadblocks, Dmitruk K. and Bondár A. spring to mind, with unforgiving love to 2 losses. However, that's water under London Bridge ladies and gentlemen.
On the contrary, Karolina Muchova, the 6th seed, seems to be in a bit of a pickle. Admittedly her deck has more losses than wins as of late, with Parks A., Svitolina E., and Świątek I. squirreling away victories. Though she did take a set over the seasoned Azarenka, that isn't quite the grand slam we're seeking.
Now, don't get your knickers in a twist here, folks. One might assume the unseeded underdog would run away with this victory, but the bookies might disagree, and rightly so. Muchova, with her experience and higher seeding, is likely to bounce back. She's a bit like the British weather, unpredictable but occasionally shines dazzlingly.
Albert's Prediction: Muchova in 3 sets.
