Alexandrova in straight sets.If there's something that's music to my ears, it's a slight underdog really taking everyone by storm, that's Mariam Bolkvadze for you. But let's not get our horses too wild, and take a nice stroll through this anticipated match up.
Ekaterina Alexandrova, being the no 2 seed, has her own set of symphonies to conduct. She's been mostly cruising through sets with comfortable wins, except for a recent stumble against the prodigy Gauff. Nevertheless, Alexandrova is known for bouncing back, and well, she bounces like rubber doesn't she?
Now, Mariam Bolkvadze, an unseeded marvel, marching through the series like it's a high school promenade. She stomped her latest matches without breaking a sweat but her results against Snigur and Janicijevic underlines her lack of consistency.
