Anisimova in straight sets.
My, my, haven't we stumbled upon a delightful little spectacle here. The tournament's darling, Amanda Anisimova, seeds at a respectable 8, going head to head with the unseeded underdog, Sonay Kartal. If you're a gambler, an Anisimova victory looks like a beautiful menu selection. And why wouldn't it, she's been dealing out defeat like she's serving high tea at the Ritz.
Ms Anisimova has had quite a few solid wins recently, dropping only one match to Sabalenka - bless her, everyone has an off day. She seems to be flinging that ball across the net with an intensity that would make an unpaid intern blush. On the other end, we've got Kartal. Unseeded, her game is choppier than a teething puppy, mixing her wins and losses unpredictably. Her victory over Kasatkina flavorful, but prior to that, a loss to Bouzkova.
So, where on earth does one put their faith? Well, from my humble point of view, I'd say Anisimova's been showing off her skills rather well. So well, in fact, that I'd wager she'd wrap up this match with a little bow on top. I predict it's going to be a swift delivery, Anisimova winning in style.
Albert’s Prediction: Anisimova in straight sets.
