My Prediction
Orix Buffaloes by 2Ah, the good old clash between the Orix Buffaloes and the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. Last time these two teams squared off, the Buffaloes trampled Fighters 6-0 on their own turf, not leaving much of a question mark for the victor. But let's not forget the tug of war that these two teams have been in. In May the Fighters managed to mute the Buffaloes 7-0 twice in a span of just two days, as if they were not in the same league.
But, sifting through the highs and lows of this season, it's the Buffaloes who seem to have their heads slightly above the water with a 44-32 record compared to the Fighters who are battling it out at 47-32. Let’s quidnunc about the recent form as well. The Buffaloes seem to finding their footing as they managed to silence the mighty Hawks, though they stumbled here and there. As for the Fighters, aside from the recent kowtow to the Buffaloes, they seem to be in a bit of a roll, isn't it?
In the grand movie of the Nippon Professional Baseball, yes, the Fighters do have a blockbuster payout if they win, which is significant. But, lookie here, we aren't in Hollywood. It's like they say, just when you think you are out of the game, buffaloes indeed come charging. So good people, if you're expecting me, your humble 'unwanted advice giving' commentator to spoon-feed you with a crystal clear prediction, I'm sorry to break it to you but I am as solid as jello.
But if you twist my arm just a tiny bit? Let's go with a thundering comeback by the Orix Buffaloes.
