Chiba Lotte Marines by 2Oh joy, another face off between the Chiba Lotte Marines and Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. Let's dig in, shall we? The Marines, last seen counting sheep on the side of Vermilion road, are sitting pretty with a record of 7-8. That’s slightly better than the Eagles' 7-10 victory march. Oh, if only victories were counted based on the number of losses.
Scanning past matchups, it’s as thrilling as watching paint dry. Both teams coming and going like the tide, giving and taking like some sort of fierce ping-pong match. However, recent results suggest the Marines are, surprisingly, getting a bit of their grove back. They devoured the Golden Eagles the last time these teams met, and even shut out the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in their wake.
The Golden Eagles though, oh boy, where do we start? Yes, they are mid-flight with a nice string of victories, but the truth of the matter, their batting consistency is as stable as a house of cards.
In the end, this match just might serve up another yawner with the Chiba Lotte Marines taking home the bacon. Exactly by what measure? Let's call it a conservative 2 run lead, shall we?
