Clemson Tigers by 15Direct your attention to the tussle between Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Clemson Tigers (#18). Before you put your money on the line, let's dissect this a bit, shall we?
The Irish are featuring their one-two punch in Markus Burton and Tae Davis. Burton's maintaining an average of 20.9 points per game while Davis is contributing with a solid 14.7 points per game in the last month. Not a bad duo if I say so myself.
Now don't get too excited about the Irish, folks because we have the Clemson Tigers staring them down from across the court. Chase Hunter and Ian Schieffelin have been racking up numbers that make even math teachers dizzy. Schieffelin's in pure beast mode with 11.1 points and a strong 8.3 rebounds per game while Hunter's been filling up the bucket with an impressive 14.7 points per game.
The record book shows a bit of a see-saw battle between these two with the most recent tilt in favor of the Tigers. The Irish might have luck on their side, but their 12-15 win-loss record isn't exactly a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Meanwhile, the Tigers with their 22-5 record, have been roaring through the competition this season.
Recently, the Irish have been as inconsistent as an undercooked pancake, with losses to Southern Methodist Mustangs and the Louisville Cardinals weighing them down. The Tigers, on the flip side, have the momentum of a runaway freight train, smashing through North Carolina Tar Heels and Duke Blue Devils.
Considering the AP Rankings, the Tigers take the spot at #18, whereas the Irish are yet to find their niche.
