Iowa State Cyclones by 11And would you look at this, we've got a doozy on our hands! The Iowa State Cyclones, a fearsome tempest at 21-6 this season, are heading over to engage the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a dance of hardwood glory.
The barometer of Cyclonic dominance is buoyed by the likes of Curtis Jones. The man's been ripping nets with a healthy 17.2 points per game this entire season while distributing dimes at a pace of 2.3 per game. Alongside him is Joshua Jefferson, a rebounding savant, accounting for 7.7 of those joyous jumps per game while also scoring 12.5 points every outing. The two have been whipping up a storm this season, that's for sure.
On the other hand, there's a good reason why the term 'underdog' evokes such passion, and the Oklahoma State Cowboys embody that fervor. Bryce Thompson and Marchelus Avery, each averaging 12.5 and 12.0 points respectively this season, are certainly no slouches. Abou Ousmane has been a brute to reckon with, sporting 11.8 points per game and snagging 5.3 rebounds per!
But here's the history book, and it seems to favor the Cyclones, who emerged victorious in their latest tango. The Cowboys, however, clung on for a marginal victory just over a year ago.
While the Cyclones' recent performance shows a hiccup against the Houston Cougars, they've been storming through other challenges with impressive victories. The Cowboys, well... bless their hearts. I might have better luck training my dachshund to slam dunk than these poor fellas do toppling the Kansas Jayhawks.
