Missouri Tigers by 14Lace up your sneakers folks, because we have a wild ride of a match up. South Carolina Gamecocks are duking it out with the exceedingly favored #14 Missouri Tigers. Though South Carolina has been showing a commendable effort, clearly having some talented players like Collin Murray-Boyles, a powerhouse with an average of 16.8 points and 7.5 rebounds last month, and Jamarii Thomas who brought in 15.3 points per game. Their impressive stats, however, don't make up for their disappointing regular season record of 11-16, and don't you think I haven't noticed those recent losses.
As for Missouri Tigers, they strut in with a swaggering regular season record of 20-7. They're led by Caleb Grill, who pumped out an average of 15.6 points last month, and not far behind him, Mark Mitchell with 14.5 points. It's not mere coincidence these Tigers are ranked #14. Still, we mustn't forget that history has a whimsical way of repeating itself. Remember that mind-bending game where South Carolina snagged victory from Missouri's claws not too long ago? Right, I didn't forget either.
Now, despite the Gamecocks' plucky determination, old Missouri could probably hogtie them with one hand tied behind their back, but hey, this is basketball and not a hog catching contest in my Uncle Bob's backyard. Brace yourselves for an interesting game, my friends.
