Los Angeles Clippers by 5
A clash between the titans, folks...no, no…this magnificent exuberance of basketball we refer to as the NBA brings us another riveting matchup - The Los Angeles Clippers vs. the Orlando Magic. Sadly, the Magic's record this season doesn't exactly scream "abracadabra" with a rather pedestrian 36-39 standing compared to the relatively shinier 42-31 record of the Clips.
On the players' scorecard, The Clippers have a dismantling lineup, led by James 'the beard' Harden and Kawhi 'the claw' Leonard, both adding chalks on the dashboard with their impressive 25.1 and 25.2 points per game respectively last month. A mention of Ivica Zubac is necessary here, crashing the boards with 12.3 rebounds per game in the past month.
The Magic on the other hand, not exactly pulling off miracles but surely seem to be holding on with Paolo Banchero dropping 30.8 ppg last month, making him a potential troublemaker for the Clippers. Franz Wagner is no slouch either, with a respectable 22.4 ppg.
Now for a stroll down memory lane for those past matchups. The Clippers seem to have 'clipped' the Magic during their encounters, so history indeed seems to be in their favor.
On recent performances though, the Clippers dropped their last game to the Cavaliers, but their pummeling of the Nets and Knicks before that surely pumps up their spirits. The Magic too have been weaving some sorcery with their latest triumph over Sacramento.
Given these intel, the Clippers, positioned at #6 on the Western Conference, seem to have the edge over Orlando, whom we find in the #7 spot in the Eastern Conference. Even though Magic is at home, it’s as if the Clippers have a spell of their own.
So my crystal ball tells me, Albert's Prediction: Los Angeles Clippers by 5.
